The Anthony Gallo Acoustics TR-2 is a high-output, high-performance active subwoofer with a Class A/B high-current amplifier. The best subwoofer in its price range, the TR-2 has an integral bass equalizer that goes up to 6dB of low bass boost, and a total output of 250 watts. The TR-2 provides room-shaking, tooth-rattling performance that will make your living room feel like the local movie theater (minus the gum on the floor and the $6.00 sodas).
The TR-2's cylindrical steel enclosure mirrors the spherical technology of our Nucleus Micro™ series of satellite speakers, but provides larger internal air volumes and a flat rear panel for the controls. Suited for rooms slightly larger than those appropriate for its little brother, the 100-watt TR-1 subwoofer, the TR-2 adds shape, texture and color to all of your thunderous low frequencies.
Available in black or silver, the TR-2 uses the same long-throw custom 10" woofer as our Reference 3 loudspeaker and the same enclosure as the TR-1. It ups the ante on the TR-1 by using a higher-powered 250-watt amp and providing +6dB of bass boost, as opposed to +3dB.
The TR-2's rear panel provides low- and high-level inputs and outputs, continuously variable phase and low-pass frequency and bass EQ from 0 to +3dB and +6dB.
